Summary: A very nice house, well equipped, with plenty of space and a lovely pool area with a stunning view. Due to the level differences both inside and in the garden there were some stairs which could be good to know if travelling with children not able to manage those. We, a family of five grown-ups and one infant, spent a week without renting a car since we were able to walk to the beach, with possibility to take a cable cabin instead of walking the whole distance, walk to the main street with restaurants, bakery, pharmacy, ATM, and small grocery stores. For real supermarkets a longer, but still reasonable, walk was needed. We could also take a taxi to visit Funchal, approximately 25 Euro one-way, and hire a minivan with driver for 150-180 Euro for a full day tour on either the west or the east part of the island. It was also possible to join organized tours that picked us up at a hotel nearby so we were able to walk on the levadas too. Overall a really nice week and I can truly recommend this house with nice surroundings.
