Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I’ve stayed here for 8 days. The guesthouse is very close to the center of Funchal, you can walk few meters and you will have everything right there. The owner which I met is a cool and honest guy which really cares about his guests. Staff and cleaning ladies were very nice. The building is clearly old, but perfect for a stay and very good for the price compared to other places. If you want fancy stuff you should pay more for sure, but that was not my case. I would love to come back again and wish the best for this place to grow and improve.

Negative: I’ve found my mattress not very comfortable unfortunately, talked about it to the owner. Parking spots (the ones you don’t have to pay for) are available but not close to the place, you have to walk for few minutes on a steep road, so not very comfortable if you have heavy bags with you. But I think there’s a private parking nearby and the staff will help you find a good solution if you need.

Summary: Basically in the center of Funchal, really nice stay
