Sights: For hikers and nature lovers, the approximately 5km Richtis Gorge is recommended. Even in summer there is an approx. 20 meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing dip.
Not far from Kavousi, about 20 km from the villa, there is the oldest olive tree in Crete, about 3,250 years old.

Spinalonga Island: not far from Agios Nikolaos, Elounda, Plaka

It is a typical Cretan, nice, historically preserved or partially rebuilt village with narrow streets and picturesque squares.
The small church called Panagia Kera is one of the most important churches in Crete. Especially the paintings (frescoes) in the church are very famous.
Kritsa is known for its woven and crocheted cloths and blankets. Nowhere in Crete is this ancient craft cultivated as intensively as in Kritsa.

We have been guests several times in a holiday home "Musuri" in Mochlos on the island of Crete. We would like to thank the S. family again for the personal approach and support. The Unterkauft guarantees relaxed, beautiful days and even in October we were able to swim in the sea with a water temperature of 26 degrees. The fact that the days are getting shorter during this time didn't matter to us at all. Everything is there to have a good time. The cleanliness and impeccable facilities of the house are particularly praiseworthy. Everything works. In the village are good, small restaurants, owner-managed, who are very concerned about the well-being of the guests. Sitting outside and chatting without a jacket is fine until 10 p.m
